9/17/2006: impurities are good
...well, sometimes at least. After finishing a 3-week push to the finish line on a paper for ICRA '07, I've been taking care of my life, my house, and my cats. Tonight, for the second night in a row, I cooked dinner for myself (hasn't happened in quite a while) -- a really good Delmonico steak cooked out on the grill. Sometimes when I go to friends' houses and see their gas grills, I get a little bit jealous of the convenience with which they can start up the grill and throw something on -- but this steak was so good and smokey, I decided that it's a good thing I still cook with charcoal. It wouldn't have been the same with gas.
