7/08/2005: back from europe
Micaela and I got back from Europe on Tuesday. Our flight got into Dulles at about 3:30 and we had to wait at the airport until 7:05 to catch the Greyhound back to Charlottesville. Believe me when I say that hanging out in the pre-security areas of Dulles is a pretty boring way to spend a few hours. We arrived into Charlottesville only to discover that power was out in half the town, with rumors that a tornado had touched down on campus at UVa. So, we spent our first night back in the states in a dark apartment with no A/C.
The trip itself went really well, though. I put some new pictures up on the photos page. I delivered my paper at the Oceans 05 Europe conference and didn't get booed out of the room, and then we toured around Dublin and Paris. One piece of advice though: never leave the country without taking some Cipro with you.
Now the plan is to hang out in Charlottesville for a while and take it easy.
